Eureka City Lake and Water Falls

Euraka City Lake consist of a public sections and private cabins and cottages. When we went, we mainly wanted to see the water falls. For the most part the south enterance to the park is mostly private cabins, but there are a couple of public primative camping. There are a couple of public use cabins. We turned at the first sign, on the south, were were firstly disappointed by driving around the south, west, and north side of the lake and mostly seeing private cabins. We could not get past the beauty of the lake, and some of the houses/cabins were so nice. We were about leave when we discovered the public use and bait shop on the east side of the lake.The waterfall was modest, since there was a current drought. My dog and I walked out to the waterfall. It is made from various size of rock from 4 to 16 inch in size, my sandles really was not the proper footwear. I would suggest at least sneakers if not boots. The view is very much worth the hike.
